It’s close to 50 degrees in Chicago as we write this in January and the weather has us ready for baseball season.
While first pitch for the 2018 MLB Season isn’t until the end of March, we did receive some news regarding both Chicago teams. The Chicago Cubs will open their 2018 campaign on the road against Miami and will do so as part of ESPN’s Opening Day coverage.
First pitch for the game was officially announced on Wednesday, as the two teams will begin at 11:40 a.m. CST on March 29th according to MLB PR. The game will begin the start of extensive Opening Day coverage on the ESPN Network:

As for the Chicago White Sox, they will open the season in Kansas City on March 29th. They will then host the Detroit Tigers on April 5th in their home opener, with a start time of 3:40 p.m. CST announced:
