While no Chicago Bulls players were named to the 2018 NBA All-Star Game roster, that doesn’t mean the team won’t be represented that weekend.
On Wednesday, the NBA announced that both Lauri Markkanen and Kris Dunn have been named to the 2018 Mtn Dew Kickstart Rising Stars Game. The annual game will take place on Friday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. CST at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The rosters are made up of 20 total players, featuring 10 first-and-second-year players on the World Team and 10 first-and-second-year players on the U.S. team pitting them up against each other in the premiere event to tipoff the weekend.
Markkanen has been one of the best rookies in the NBA this season. He’s averaging 15.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season for the Bulls, while appearing in 44 contests.
He became the fastest player to make 100 three-pointers in his NBA career, beating out greats like Stephen Curry, Reggie Miller and Ray Allen.
This will be Dunn’s first appearance in the game despite being his second NBA season. The point guard has played in 40 games for the Bulls, averaging 13.7 points and 6.4 assists per game. He’s been a bright spot as a key piece in the Jimmy Butler draft day trade.
