Malaki Branham (Ohio State)
Chicago can find some great offensive excitement in drafting Malaki Branham from Ohio State. The 18-year-old two-way guard averaged 13.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists during his freshman year. He carries a heater and is able to fill up the scoring stat sheet with his 49.8% FG and 41.6 three-point field goal percentage. Branham is a sensational offensive talent, looking back.
The Big 10 Freshman of the Year appears to have little-to-no holes in his offensive toolkit. He can operate off the dribble to create his scoring opportunities with ease, or can also shoot the lights out when he is feeling it. Malaki is a proven scorer which would immediately make his presence felt in Chicago’s offense.
