Today marks the 25th anniversary of Super Bowl XX where the Bears defeated the Patriots 46-10. 25 years ago today, the Bears dominated the Patriots 46-10 in New Orleans at the Super Dome.
With so much negativity swirling the Bears right now about the loss and Jay Cutler’s injury, take a second to reflect back on a better time.
The 46-10 victory over the Patriots capped off a near perfect season where the Bears were 15-1. In the post-season the Bears would shuffle their way to a championship.
The defense gave up a combined ten points in 3 playoff games. The 10 points coming in the Super Bowl vs the Patriots. The prior two games the Bears shut out their opponents the New York Giants (21-0) and Los Angeles Rams (24-0)
