3. The ‘superstars’ need to show up. Period.
Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, and Nikola Vucevic need to bring their ‘A game’ to Canada on Wednesday if the Chicago Bulls have any chance of winning this game. You know, the trio that makes up 87 million dollars of the Bulls salary cap. Not saying they haven’t been solid this year but they have to elevate it in Toronto.
Look for Billy Donovan to lean on DeMar DeRozan. He has the most experience out of the trio in the playoffs, he has averaged 21.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 63 games in the playoffs in his career. This is a guy who has something to prove at his old stomping grounds, and eliminating the Raptors must be the cherry on top.
Underrated fact: DeMar DeRozan currently ranks 38th on the all time scoring list
He is going to finish his career among the 20 greatest scorers ever ..

Imagine if he just went vintage DeRozan mode. Mid range jumpers all over the court, lock down defense on guys like VanFleet and Anunoby. It would greatly increase the chances for Chicago to move on. LaVine and Vuc need to step it up as well.
If and when this season does end for the Chicago Bulls, look for a major overhaul with the roster. It was an underwhelming season and it’s not just one persons fault. This roster may need a shake up, and Donavon might be on the way out.
