Keenan Allen, Wide Receiver

The Bears will undoubtedly add a third receiver at some point this offseason. DJ Moore and Rome Odunze is a talented tandem on their own, but Johnson wants to stack the offense with a litany of playmakers. One option would be to run it back with Keenan Allen.
Allen’s first year in Chicago didn’t necessarily go to plan. While he led the team with seven touchdown receptions, Allen had just 70 grabs for 744 yards. Those are his lowest totals in any season in which he has played 11+ games.
But the situation has now changed in Chicago. Allen was catching passes from a rookie quarterback lacking an offensive direction. He didn’t have much time to make those passes behind a paper mache offensive line. Now, Johnson’s creative mind is calling the shots. Thuney, Dalman and Jackson are here to protect. The Bears offensive arrow is actually pointing up.
Because of that, maybe the Bears can convince Allen to re-sign for at least one more season. He at least understands the inning workings of Chicago’s organization. With an actual plan in place, perhaps the Allen acquisition can actually lead to some fireworks.
