With 3:30 left in the 4th quarter Derrick Rose injured his right knee vs the Trailblazers. The injury occurred off a steal by Batum off a Chicago fast break. As Derrick turned to chase down the ball, it seemed his right knee (the other knee) gave out on him.

At first glance it didn’t seem like that serious of an injury as the Bulls medical staff rubbing his knee trying to find out what the problem was. But as cameras pan over to the bench during a timeout you see Derrick walking gingerly, and being helped to the locker room.
Early reports are that Derrick is in good spirits and he will fly with the team to LA for an MRI Saturday. Is this a good sign that he is in good spirits? Does this mean he doesn’t have, dare I say it? Not necessarily. Wasn’t it Rajon Rondo that thought he just hyperextended his knee? Not realizing it was something worse until shoot around the next day, in which then an MRI revealed he tore his ACL. Not trying to scare anyone, or imply something as terrible as another ACL injury. But, one has to wonder.
Deja Vu? Most Bulls fans hearts stop beating. They had to continue to remind themselves to breath as it seemed life itself is standing still as not only the city of Chicago awaits news on the injury. But, the entire world of basketball.
