Illinois has had trouble keeping to top players to stay in state, but tonight Illinois snagged a huge commitment from Bolingbrook QB Aaron Bailey.
The 6’2″ 215 pound QB is rated #6 nationally at his position by Scout.com and rated the #4 dual-threat QB and #128 overall by Rivals.com
Along with having an offer from Illinois, Bailey had offers from (according to Rivals): Ohio State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa just to name a few. Nebraska was thought to be the leader following a recent visit to Lincoln, but ultimately Bailey chose to stay home and represent his state’s school.
Last season Bailey lead Bolingbrook to the Class 8A Illinois State Championship where they defeated Loyola. Bailey finished the year with 1,000 rushing yards and almost 2,000 passing yards, while rushing for 30 TD’s.
