Yesterday we gave you a look at the newest adidas Basketball commercial featuring Derrick Rose. The commercial promoted the newest shoe in the adidas Rose signature shoe line, the Rose 4.
The Rose 4 and Rose apparel line was officially unveiled at the United Center earlier today. The Rose 4 is designed specially for on-court performance and extra cushion for your feet.
Via a press release:
Separated by a bold line at the ankle, the front and back of the shoe represent Derrick’s distinct personalities. Constructed using durable materials and innovative technology, the heel was designed to highlight Derrick’s game and enhance is explosive style of play. The front represents his relaxed and understated off-court style.
“On the court, Derrick is a competitive and explosive player, but off the court he transforms into a humble person who is deeply dedicated to his family, team and the city of Chicago,” said Lawrence Norman, vice president, adidas Global Basketball. “This is what makes him truly special in this sport and this shoe, unlike any other, showcases these two sides of Derrick.”
Accompanying the unique design are performance upgrades, such as the Crazyquick outsoletraction system, giving Derrick maximum control and flexibility for quick movements. Support is enhanced by SprintWeb, dynamic GEOFIT ankle support and an improved moldedSprintFrame chassis. Three-Stripes on the heel serves as a reminder of Derrick’s speed to opponents.
Rose will be making his long awaited return to the Chicago Bulls after suffering an ACL injury in April 2012. When Rose steps on the court in the season opener against the Miami Heat, he will be wearing the adidas Rose 4. The shoe will release October 10th for $140 retail.
Stay tuned for more information and news on future colorways of the adidas Rose 4.
