The 90’s were a great time for Basketball in Chicago. Jordan and the Bulls dominated the NBA with two 3-peat’s, racking up six total NBA Championships. Now there is a new era in Chicago Basketball, and it centers around Chicago born Derrick Rose.
The recently released adidas D.Rose 3 has made a solid splash in the sneaker game. Now adidas has unveiled the newest colorway in the D.Rose 3 line, the ’90’s “Throwback Edition”. This 90’s themed shoe sports a graffiti look to it with a fluorescent green nubuck upper and blue accents.
On the inside tongues of the shoe, “Southside” and “773” are featured with block graffiti letters. The “Southside” represents where Rose grew up in the harsh neighborhood of Englewood. While “773” is the zip code of the neighborhood.
You can pick these up November 9th for $160.

Maybe I’m just dumb as shit, but I don’t get how this has a “90’s look” to it at all. Again… I could just be retarded.
If anything, bright colors are more popular on basketball shoes now then they ever were in the 90’s.
I mean, the graffiti writing on the inside of the tongue looks “90’s” but that’s about it.
Awesome shoe though.
Well, you were wearing Barney costumes for Halloween in the 90s, Huff. 😀
