To celebrate the 35th anniversary of the original Air Jordan I high model, Jordan Brand is doing something special and it will involve the city of Chicago.
The Air Jordan I High will release in the original “Chicago” colorway that was banned featuring red, white and black in Feb. 2020. The release is set to come during All-Star weekend when the NBA world will descend on Chicago to celebrate the festivities.
The upcoming release will pay homage to that original model that dropped in 1985 and will be dubbed “New Beginnings”. It will feature a new trim and is part of a series with sneakers that are true-to-the-original build with a modern touch. This one will be the debut of that series for Jordan Brand.
