The classic Air Jordan I silhouette gets a modern upgrade in a big way.
Released in 1985, the Air Jordan I is one of the most iconic sneakers to ever hit store shelves and it remains that way today. Jordan Brand has introduced multiple new colorways and has brought back some classic colorways of the I over the years.
But now it’s meeting Nike technology that was first introduced in 2012.
Flyknit was a big development from Nike back in February of 2012. The technology includes yarn and fabric variations that are carefully detailed and installed on the show to provide an upper that has a featherweight feel, sleek design and extra comfort to the shoe.
On Tuesday, Jordan Brand revealed the latest creation: The Air Jordan I Flyknit. The shoe features the original sole from the Air Jordan I but gets the added Zoom to it.
The upper is completely reconstructed with FlyKnit and leather details appear on the SWOOSH, Wings logo and tongue.

The Air Jordan I Flyknit has an official release date of September 9th and will retail for $180.
