The newest shoe in the Air Jordan collection is officially here.
On Tuesday, Jordan Brand officially unveiled the Air Jordan XXXII model in two slick colorways at an event in Italy, giving fans the first look at the shoe.
The Air Jordan II were manufactured in Italy, using only the finest leathers for the shoe. Now, the Air Jordan XXXII is bringing back the imprint of the Air Jordan II with a similar yet sleek look.
The Air Jordan XXXII features a first-of-the-kind Flyknit upper with high-tenacity yarn for athletes to perform at the highest level while maintaining that comfort on their feet.
Michael Jordan himself talked about the new materials for the shoe.
“We’ve always explored new materials and technology to create the best game shoe. That was evident when we went to Italy to make the II, and it still rings true today. On the XXXII, we challenged our designers to push the limits while staying true to the brand’s DNA,” said Jordan.
In addition to the new Flyknit upper, the shoe has a Nike Zoom Air unit on the heel and forefoot to provide comfort for the foot. With the Flyknit upper and Zoom Air Unit, the two work together to reduce stiffness at the forefoot.
Reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook is a member of the Jordan Brand family and praised the shoe upon its unveiling.
“The XXXII is a great combination of performance and style,” Westbrook said, via press release. “The way I play demands that I have the best performing sneaker on my feet and style is something that is engrained in me as a person and player.”
While the shoe’s overall make is the topic of discussion for the model, there’s one neat detail that no other Air Jordan shoe has.
The articulated collar near the tongue references Jordan’s six titles he won in the NBA, giving it that extra detail to make the shoe even nicer.
At the unveiling, the brand introduced two colorways and an official release date. The Air Jordan XXXII “Rosso Corsa” is an all-red colorway and will release first when it hits stores on September 23.
The “Bred” colorway of the XXXII is your traditional black, white and red colorway that we’ve seen on numerous pairs of Air Jordans. That colorway will drop on October 18th.
For the first time ever, a low and mid version of the “Bred” colorway will also release on the global release date of October 18th.
Check back for more future colorways of the Air Jordan XXXII in both the mid and low version.
