Among the list, Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” and “A Touch More” by former Seattle Storm player Sue Bird and former National Women’s Soccer League player Megan Rapinoe were the only programs led by women.
Reese shared the post to her Instagram story and added a caption saying: “Thank ya.”
Earlier this month, the WNBA star also received recognition from music and podcast streaming platform Spotify as one of the app’s Best New Shows of 2024.

Boardroom is a media network founded by two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant. In 2023, Boardroom included in its list of top-ranking athlete podcast shows like The Draymond Green Show, The Pat McAfee Show, and The Old Man and The Three (which was hosted by Lakers head coach JJ Redick and Tommy Alter).
Boardroom has not disclosed its criteria for ranking an athlete-led podcast but general numbers like total views, number of downloads, ratings, and subscriptions are expected to be part of the ranking metrics.
NFL MVP Credits Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark as “Inspiring”
In an interview with ESSENCE, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson talked about women’s sports and women athletes, and he highlighted how Angel Reese has been an inspiration to him.
“I really wasn’t like too fond of basketball [and] women’s basketball cuz I’m like, man they not dunking and stuff,” Jackson said in the interview, recalling how he used to now be able to shoot hoops back then.
Despite being an athlete himself albeit for a different sport, Jackson still finds it amazing how some of the new players in the WNBA are able to play on a higher level than previously seen.
“I can shoot now but back then that wasn’t that wasn’t my thing so I’m watching,” he continued. “I’m like, d***, I was amazed back then like from just watching play and stuff like that. But now like on a high level, I’m seeing Angel Reese, I’m seeing Caitlin Clark, all these girls just go crazy, it’s like, man—it’s inspiring. I’m inspired by it.”
Angel Reese is set to play for Unrivaled, a new 3-on-3 women’s basketball league.
