Second-year Chicago Sky draft pick Angel Reese had a couple of moments go viral on Saturday that she’ll wish to have a redo on.
The 22-year-old is playing for the Rose BC in the Unrivaled league during the WNBA’s offseason.
The No. 7 pick in the 2024 draft was a star defender in her rookie season in the WNBA. She earned an All-Star appearance, NBA All-Rookie Team honor, and was the league’s leading rebounder.
However, Reese struggled on offense. She had one of the league’s worst layup percentages for 2024.
Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese was afraid to make a layup
Her struggles at layups came back to haunt her on Saturday following a great defensive move the former LSU standout made. Reese chose to pass up on an easy layup on a fast break following a steal.

A bad double dribble

“Wow. I guess she didn’t practice after last season ended,” asked a fan.
“Lmao we made fun of thirteen year olds who’d been playing the game for less than two years if they did this,” posted another.
“Clearly she can’t dribble from the top of the key, guess it’s fair to try something different from the post moves that don’t work either,” suggested a fan.
The Rose defeated the Mist 71-66 to earn their first win of the season. They have a 1-2 record. Reese finished her night with four points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal, and three turnovers in eight minutes.
