The Chicago Bulls are a hot mess right now with their 2-5 start to the season including losses to Charlotte, New York, Cleveland and even a Indiana Pacers team without three of their best players.
There is talent on this team but they are still a few big pieces away from being a legit contender in the NBA. One of the pieces that they could add to jumpstart the process is hometown product Anthony Davis. The Los Angeles Lakers star has one year left on his deal and will be a free agent after this season.
Davis is in Chicago as the Lakers prepare to take on the Bulls at the United Center on Tuesday night and before then, he attended a special Nike event to discuss basketball in the Windy City. That’s when he let out another tease about returning home to play for the Bulls:
This isn’t the first time Davis has talked about returning home to play for the Bulls either. Over the Summer he was in Chicago for Nike’s Rise Camp and met reporters to talk about his career, joining the Lakers and eventually maybe returning home.
Davis sort of brushed it off and said “he’d consider it” while also calling Chicago the “Mecca” (again) during the interview. All we can do is wait and hope for now.
