The Chicago Cubs are scheduled to play the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday night to open what was a three-game series but has now turned into a quick two-game set on the Northside of Chicago. After the weather postponed both Sunday’s game vs. the Braves and Monday vs. the Cardinals, the Cubs are playing in their first game since Saturday’s epic comeback.
With this quick two-game set, the Cubs will welcome back a big piece to their lineup. The team announced that first baseman Anthony Rizzo has been activated off the DL after going on it last week. Rizzo has been dealing with a back issue and was retroactively put on the DL ahead of the Cubs’ home opener vs. the Pirates.

The Cubs have had their fair-share of struggles hitting this season but getting Rizzo back should help boost the lineup. Rizzo is slotted to hit third with Kris Bryant in front of him hitting second. With another slow start and sitting at 7-7, the Cubs could use a nice win streak to get on track.
