The Chicago Bulls roster needs a complete overhaul after a disappointing start to the Fred Hoiberg era in 2015.
They already traded Derrick Rose, won’t bring back Pau Gasol and even drafted Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine with the 14th overall pick. But expect the team to be players when the NBA Free Agent period opens up on Friday.
The Bulls could have their eyes on a former NBA champion and they might be making their pitch to him as we speak.
Comcast SportsNet Chicago’s David Kaplan sent out a tweet saying he’s heard that NBA Free Agent-to be Harrison Barnes has been spotted in Chicago:
Not sure if the sightings are accurate but multiple people I'm hearing from claim to have seen Harrison Barnes in Chicago this afternoon.

Now we cannot confirm or deny this report as it could just be some speculation. It also could be that Barnes is meeting with Bulls brass ahead of the free agent period beginning. Either way, still expect the Bulls to be big players for Barnes who could get a max contract.
The 24-year-old was selected 7th overall in the 2012 NBA Draft by Golden State and averaged 11.7 points, 1.8 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game in 2015-16. He could return to the Warriors, but teams like Philadelphia and Atlanta have already expressed interest in him.
