Outfielder Austin Jackson is the newest member of the Chicago White Sox
Austin Jackson is staying in Chicago after all. The free agent outfielder has agreed to a one-year deal with the Chicago White Sox worth $5 million according to reports. Jackson spent part of last season with the Cubs as a late-season acquisition.

The deal will become official when Jackson passes his physical. The 29-year-old hit .236 with a home run and 10 RBI’s in 29 games with the Cubs. He’s a natural center fielder but with Adam Eaton already on the roster, Jackson will likely be a platoon outfielder for the White Sox. He can also fill in as a defensive replacement with his glove skills.
