It’s almost becoming a yearly tradition that the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns meet during the preseason. This year will mark the tenth consecutive season the two teams will play in the preseason finale.
The Bears announced their four game preseason schedule for the 2013 season, which includes a nationally televised game on ESPN against the San Diego Chargers.
First the Bears will open the preseason schedule on the road against the Carolina Panthers on the weekend of August 8-11. Their first home preseason game will come a week later when they host the San Diego Chargers on August 15th. A game that will be broadcasted across the country on ESPN.
The weekend of August 22-25 will see the Bears travel to the west coast for a matchup with the Oakland Raiders in a game where we could see a lot of action from the starters. This will also mark the first time new head coach Marc Trestman will face the team he went to the Super Bowl with.
The preseason finale will be most likely on Thursday August 29th at Soldier Field as the Browns come into town for the annual preseason meeting. The Bears will also travel to Cleveland during the regular season.
Exact dates and times are still to be determined. The NFL will release the full regular season schedule later this month.
