To tell the truth, I am not interested in writing a long analysis of the game. The Packers beat the Bears 21-14 in a game where Jay Cutler came out early in the 2nd half.
Second stringer Todd Collins came in, looked terrible and got pulled fast in favor of 3rd stringer Caleb Hanie. If we were going to lose the game, you do it by playing the youth…not the elderly Todd Collins who couldn’t complete a pass in 7-on-7.
Hanie came into the game with the Bears losing 14-0 and provided the spark to make this game interesting. Hanie was 13 of 20 for 153 yards, 1 TD, and 2 interceptions. Honestly, I am pissed off we lost the game but losing the game with our 3rd stringer in eases the blow a little bit.
Yanking Todd Collins is the smartest thing our coaching staff has done in quite some time. Let’s all take some time and applaud Caleb Hanie, he gave our team a fighting chance against a great defense.
Congratulations Packers fans, your team is in the super bowl. As for Bear fans, remember going into Week 9 many wrote this season off as not even making the playoffs. We have a young team with mostly everybody coming back, hopefully we can make another splash in free agency and bring some talent into Chicago and make another run next season.
CALEB HANIE FTW. Todd Collins sucks. Stay tuned to ChiCitySports and we’ll keep you informed on Cutler’s injury.
