The days of Johnny Knox being a Chicago Bear have came to an end. The team announced this morning that they have terminated his contract. Johnny Knox suffered a very serious injury to his neck and wasn’t believed to ever step on the field again. Knox is still in recovery from the 2011 injury but, it appears the Bears don’t believe he’ll ever be what he once was to this team.
Over the course of 3 seasons, Knox caught 133 passes for 2,214 yards and 12 touchdowns. 2010 was his biggest year, coming up just 40 yards shy of a 1,000 yard season. The Bears hadn’t had a WR go over 1,000 yards since Marty Booker at the time.
