After staying quiet for the first few hours of Monday’s legal tampering period, the Chicago Bears have made some news.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Bears have agreed to a deal with free-agent running back Mike Davis. The 26-year-old Davis has spent the past two seasons with Seattle and played in 15 games for the Seahawks in 2018.
Davis had his best season in his four-year career with the Seahawks in 2018, rushing for 514 yards while averaging 4.6 yards per carry. He also caught 34 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown.
This isn’t the big splash Bears’ fans had hoped for and Davis isn’t going to replace Jordan Howard but it’s a move to improve the backfield.
