Drummond kicked off the first game of his 2019-2020 season with success on both sides of the floor. Netting 32 points with his 23 rebounds. 1/15/2020 – vs. New York: 40 minutes, 33 points (10/18 FG), 23 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks
Now playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Drummond was able to tie his career-high 33 points going up against Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson. With Drummond being a ~50% career foul shooter, it was notable he was also able to sink 13 of his 19 free throws in this contest. He was also on pace to become the leader of the league in rebounding for the fifth consecutive season until the Cavaliers reached a buy-out with him. He was later signed by the Lakers and began to see his playing time dwindle in the coming years.
