#2 Cameron Dantzler (CB)
I understand the Bears need help on the Offensive Line but trust me it’s coming. As I mentioned above the Bears are desperately thin in the secondary. The Bears have put a lot of trust in rookie CB Tyrique Stevenson, and it has not paid off. Kyler Gordon was put on the IR and will now miss at minimum the next 4 weeks; backup corner Josh Blackwell is questionable to play this weekend against Patrick Mahomes and the high-powered Chiefs. The Bears need help at cornerback. That is where Cameron Dantzler comes into play.
Dantzler is only 25 years old and played the last 3 seasons for the Minnesota Vikings. Dantzler has been signed by 3 teams this preseason but has yet to stick with the Bills, Commanders, and Texans. This is a guy who has recorded 125 solo tackles, 3 interceptions, and 3 forced fumbles over 3 years in Minnesota. He is a young secondary option that has proved he can play at the highest level. The Bears are grasping for straws right now in the secondary and Dantzler would be a massive addition. He is also familiar with the NFC North having played in it the last 3 seasons.
