#1 La’el Collins (OT)
Collins is getting looked at by a number of teams, but the Bears need to be the top of that list. The 30-year-old is coming off a torn MCL, and ACL and started the year off on the PUP list. Collins was recently released by the Cincinnati Bengals making him a hot topic on the free agent waiver. The former Cowboy has dealt with injuries throughout his career but can still play at a high level.
The Chicago Bears have struggled this season protecting Justin Fields, in the first two weeks they have given up 10 sacks, 4 against the division rival Packers and 6 last week against the Buccaneers. Braxton Jones has struggled at Left Tackle early on this season, La’el Collins would slide in perfectly to protect the blindside of Fields, while the young Jones could learn and get mentored by Collins who has protected the likes of Joe Burrow and Dak Prescott.
Honorable Mention
Here are a few guys the Bears also could sign that did not make the list.
Ben Jones (C)
Anthony Brown (CB)
Taylor Lewan (OT)
Billy Price (C)
Melvin Ingram (Edge)
Who do you guys think the Bears should target, whether that comes from the free agent wire or in a trade?
