The Chicago Blackhawks (8-0-2) have had an amazing start so far. They are the only team without a regulation loss. They now lead the San Jose Sharks (7-2-1), whom they beat 5-3 Tuesday, in the Western Conference by three points.
It was great to see Brandon Saad, Andrew Shaw, and Marcus Kruger score Tuesday. Each of these players was struggling to light the lamp, but they were working harder than almost any player on the team. Corey Crawford settled in nicely after giving up three goals in the first 11 minutes.
This early season effort cause some to ponder, “Can the Blackhawks sustain this dominance?” I believe they can. There is no reason why, with adequate rest, the Blackhawks cannot play to their full level. The goaltending has been superb for Chicago and should continue. The Hawks will play Thursday night at Phoenix. The puck will drop at 8 pm, CST, on Comcast Sports Net.

They have been a fun team to watch this season. I’m hoping for big, shiny, goblet-esuqe, things from them!
Hopefully the Hawks can take home a cup this June.
