Blackhawks’ Patrick Kane is on the road to recovery after having wrist surgery today.
Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane is expected to be able to return to full activity in six-to-eight weeks after undergoing successful wrist surgery Tuesday, the team said.
“Patrick Kane underwent surgery today to repair a scaphoid fracture in his left wrist,” Blackhawks head team physician Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement. “The surgery went very well and we anticipate a full recovery. Patrick will begin doing modified preseason workouts shortly and we hope for a full return to activity in six to eight weeks.”
Kane, 22, said during the team’s fan convention last weekend that the injury had been bothering him since last season’s playoffs and he was looking forward to getting it fixed.
