The Blackhawks have signed winger Viktor Stalberg to a 2-year deal.
The Chicago Blackhawks avoided salary arbitration with Viktor Stalberg when they agreed to terms with the winger on a two-year contract Sunday.
The 25-year-old Stalberg had 12 goals–including three game-winners–12 assists and 43 penalty minutes in 77 regular-season games with the Hawks last season.In his first season with the Hawks after being acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in a trade for Kris Versteeg. Stalberg also ranked fourth among team forwards with 102 hits and added one goal and five penalty minutes in seven postseason games.
The Gothenberg, Sweden, native has 21 goals, 17 assists and 73 penalty minutes in 117 career regular-season games over parts of two NHL seasons with Toronto (2009-10) and the Hawks.
