The NBA season officially tips off tonight with a few games on the schedule but it doesn’t include the Chicago Bulls.
Instead, the team will open their season Thursday night in Toronto. It’s expected to be a rebuilding year for the Bulls as they traded star Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves and bought out the contract of Dwyane Wade.
But before this season has even started, there’s been some drama.
According to multiple reports, Chicago Bulls players Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic got into a scuffle at Tuesday’s practice. Portis apparently punched Mirotic on the face breaking bones and sending him to the hospital.
Sources: Bulls forwards Bobby Portis and Nikola Mirotic were involved in serious altercation in practice today, leaving Mirotic hospitalized and out indefinitely. Story coming.
