Power Forward Bobby Portis returned from his eight-game suspension on Tuesday night as the Chicago Bulls were in Toronto to take on the Raptors.
Portis was serving his suspension after punching teammate Nikola Mirotic in the face at practice just days before the team’s season opener against Toronto. Since then, Mirotic has made it clear that the Bulls have a decision to make as he can’t co-exist with Portis.
ESPN’s Nick Friedell wrote before Tuesday night’s game that Portis and Niko still haven’t made amends, with Portis being quoted as saying he hasn’t talked to Niko.
Portis returned to the team off the bench playing 24 minutes in the 119-114 loss which dropped the Bulls to 2-7 on the year. The 22-year-old power forward looked sharp, grabbing 13 rebounds and scoring 24 points.

The Bulls are going to have to make a big decision when Mirotic is ready to return. The forward can’t be traded until January and is still a few weeks away from returning to the court.
If Portis continues to play like this, it’s either going to bump up his trade value or force the Bulls to trade Mirotic.
