Carlos Boozer will not play, and is ruled as day-to-day with an ankle sprain, tonight for the Bulls as the Atlanta Hawks come to the United Center later tonight. Boozer has had to endure with swelling after taking a hard foul from Charlotte Bobcats’ center Kwame Brown on Wednesday night.
In addition, Luol Deng may miss his first start of the season tonight due to a left thigh bruise. He is a game-time decision according to Chicago Bulls’ head coach Tom Thibodeau, who says Deng is moving better since sustaining the injury in the third quarter against Charlotte— shortly before Boozer took his fall.
Derrick Rose and the Bulls will look to avenge last week’s loss to Atlanta tonight. Chicago held a 50-33 halftime lead in Atlanta on March 2 prior to losing the game by the score of 83-80.
Taj Gibson will likely make the start for the Bulls in Boozer’s place.
If Deng does miss tonight’s game, Keith Bogans will be the only player remaining on the Bulls’ roster to start every game for Chicago this season.
