The boys are back in town, topping the Griffins 4-1 in Game 3 of the AHL Western Conference Semifinals. It appeared to be a case of role reversal, as the Griffins to take the role the IceHogs played in Games 1 & 2…present but not.
The Hogs were on a 5 minute penalty for Cody Bass being assessed a Major penalty for Charging when Mark McNeil tallied a unassisted shorty @ 12:21 in the first period. Ryan Hartman then opened the 2nd period with a goal for Rockford. The Griffins were not able to answer back until 8:27 in the 2nd period with a unassisted PP goal by Teemu Pulkkinen. Rockford then sealed the game with goals in the 3rd frame by Stephen Johns and Spencer Abbott.
Game 4 is tonight in Rockford, puck drops at 7pm.
