Brandon Marshall tweeted out a picture of his letter from the NFL, which stated that he was fined $10,500 for wearing green cleats to promote Mental Health Awareness Week.
He said “Football is my platform not my purpose. This fine is nothing compared to the conversation started & awareness raised.”
The shoes Marshall wore did a great job promoting the purpose, as it was mentioned numerous times on the Thursday night telecast by Brad Nessler and Mike Mayock.
The Bears head to Washington Sunday, looking to go 5-2 against Washington’s team which is 1-4 on the year so far.
