The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs reported on Thursday that the Bears were actively shopping Marshall indicating that a deal could come soon. Now with Marshall off the roster, it will free up $3.95 million in cap space for the Bears.
Marshall’s talent wasn’t the problem in Chicago as he instantly became the best wide receiver in franchise history breaking records in his first year with the Bears. But his off the field distractions took a toll on the team and lost support of the locker room according to reports.
With the exit of Marshall the new regime in Chicago has started to make their mark. Will there be more moves on the horizon? It’s certainly likely now.
