The Chicago Bears took a chance and traded up to draft quarterback Mitchell Trubisky with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
It was a move that shocked a lot of people but General Manager Ryan Pace did what he had to do to get his guy.
Despite signing veteran free agent Mike Glennon in the offseason, Trubisky is considered the future of the team.
One former Bears legend had positive words to say about Trubisky. Brian Urlacher appeared on the “Tiki and Tierney” show to discuss the Bears, including Trubisky.
“I hope this kid is unbelievable,” Urlacher said via The Ten Yardline. “I hope Mitch Trubisky is the best quarterback of all time. He looks like a stud. He’s 6-2, 6-3, put together, good-looking kid, he seems really nice … I hope they do really well.”
Urlacher also went on to discuss the “Lovie Smith” curse that the Bears have and of course, his new hairstyle.
