The Bulls have signed restricted free agent C.J. Watson to be the backup point guard for Derrick Rose. The deal is for three years and $10.2 million and will be completed as a sign-and-trade with the Golden State Warriors receiving a second-round draft pick.
Watson, 26, averaged 10.3 points in 65 games for the Warriors last season. He shot 31 percent from three-point range last season, but made 40 percent of his threes two years ago in his first full NBA season.
