The Chicago Bulls announced Friday that center Joakim Noah underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee Thursday. Noah looked like he was in pain during the Bulls Game 5 loss Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards.
Coach Tom Thibodeau announced that Noah had been dealing with a knee soreness throughout the season. Even with the injury, Noah was able to 12.6 points, 1.2 blocks and 11.3 rebounds this season.
The surgery will keep the Defensive Player of the Year out 8-to-12-weeks. Noah expects to return in time for Bulls training camp. It was performed by team physician Dr. Brian Cole.
