The Chicago Bulls will have a big decision to make in the coming days.
Just as NBA Free Agency opened up on Friday, the Sacramento Kings made a play for guard Zach LaVine as they signed him to a four-year deal worth $80 Million on the offer sheet. Now the ball is in Chicago’s court.
With LaVine signing that offer sheet, Chicago will have 48 hours to either match the offer from him at that price or let him sign with the Kings.

The Bulls acquired the 23-year-old LaVine in a 2017 Draft Day trade involving Jimmy Butler who was sent to the Timberwolves. In return, the Bulls received LaVine, Kris Dunn and the rights to Lauri Markkanen.
After suffering an ACL injury in the middle of the 2016-17 season, LaVine made his Bulls debut in January. While playing in 24 games, LaVine averaged 16.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game.
LaVine met with the Kings on the Fourth of July and eventually agreed to the deal on Friday afternoon. If the Bulls decide not to match the offer, the deal will become the most expensive free agent signing in Sacramento Kings history.
