Tom Thibodeau has announced today that the Bulls have released point guard Mike James for the second time this season. James was signed to his second short term contract of the season when Derrick Rose was sidelined with back injuries.
Mike James has averaged 6.1 points and 3.6 assists per game playing off the bench during times when Rose and CJ Watson were hurt. Even though he has been released for now, Thibodeau has stated that James may be signed again later in the season.
CJ Watson, who missed two games due to a mild concussion, will be back in the lineup tonight backing up Rose off the bench against the New Orleans Hornets. Richard Hamilton, who has been suffering from groin and thigh injuries, still remains a game time decision.
