While rumors are swirling around the Chicago Bulls regarding Jimmy Butler, Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and the general direction of the team going forward, one person seems to be pretty calm in the midst of the storm.
That person would be the former MVP, Rose.
Via his Facebook page, Rose received a “Scootebike” from Raytroniks. It seems to be some combination of a scooter and a bike and perhaps it’ll keep the former MVP’s knees and lower body in shape in offseason. Perhaps Rose will take his son PJ on bike rides so the two can have more bonding time.
In another unconfirmed report, Bulls guard Jimmy Butler saw that Rose received the gift, immediately got jealous and had a roller blade-skateboard hybrid made for himself.
Kidding of course.
Rose is taking part in only his second healthy offseason since he tore his ACL in 2011 and hopes to make it through the entire offseason, training camp and preseason without injury, as he suffered an eye injury last season heading into camp. Rose played in 66 games last year and averaged 16.4 points per game on 43% shooting.
