ESPN is reporting that the Chicago Bulls have signed former Ohio State guard and first round draft pick Daequen Cook. Chicago hopes that the former 3-point shootout champion will help with some of their current 3-point woes. Cook, 25, will expectantly come off the bench and give the Bulls that much needed spark that has been missing since the departure of Kyle Korver.
The move also gives the team some additional trade options. It will be interesting to see how this move will affect the future of the aging Rip Hamilton as well as the fiesty Nate Robinson, whose defense unfortunately leaves something to be desired. With these trade options, hopefully the Bulls will be able to bring in some additional size when the trade deadline comes along. Regardless, there should be plenty more “hot sauce” in the team’s future.
