ChiCitySports.com has learned that the Chicago Bulls have already fired coach Vinny Del Negro. The team has set a press conference for Tuesday afternoon to make it official to the public.
Many fans have already assumed that Del Negro would be fired, just when will he be was the only question.
Del Negro finished 82-82 in his two season’s with the Bulls, but can be credited to the development of Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson.
Despite leading the Bulls to two playoff trips in two years, Del Negro has his down points too.
This season it was reported that Del Negro and John Paxson got into a altercation about Joakim Noah’s playing time in April. From that moment, it was clear that Del Negro was likely to go.
In December there were reports that the Bulls were close to firing Del Negro, but needed to find the right replacement coach. It never happened.
On the brink of an exciting summer, free agent wise, where the Bulls are expected to be players for some of the biggest superstars in free agency, they will now need to find a head coach. Byron Scott, Maurice Cheeks, Jeff Van Gundy, Doug Collins and even possible Phil Jackson will grab the Bulls attention.
Now Bulls fans must wait to see if there next coach can take them to the next level.
