The Chicago Bulls have traded James Johnson to Toronto for their 1st round pick. The 1st round draft choice the Bulls have acquired is originally from the Miami Heat. With two 1st round draft choices, a lot of Bulls fans suspect one of the choices will be traded away for a SG before the trade deadline.
DEERFIELD, Ill. —The Chicago Bulls have sent little-used forward James Johnson to the Toronto Raptors.
The Bulls announced the move Tuesday. In return, the Bulls will receive the Miami Heat’s 2011 first-round draft choice, now held by the Raptors.
Johnson recently had a stint with the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League to get some playing time.
The 6-foot-9 Johnson appeared in 13 games this season and averaged a little over three points per game in about nine minutes of action a game. In his rookie season, Johnson played in 65 games and averaged about four points in about 11 minutes of action per game.
