Bulls beat writer K.C Johnson has reported the Chicago Bulls have traded Kyle Korver to the Atlanta Hawks earlier today. Pending the physical, Korver will be en-route to Atlanta to help out a team that lost their number one scorer Joe Johnson.
The Bulls save $500,000 by trading Korver, and also acquire Minnesota’s second round pick in the deal.
Korver, 31, is one of the best three-point shooters in the league and averaged 8 points and 2 rebounds off the bench for the Bulls last season.
Former Bull and Hawk Kirk Hinrich appears to be close to signing with the Bulls as reported earlier in the week. This marks another move by the Bulls front office of depleating the popular ‘Bench Mob’ that was in place for the past two seasons.
