The Chicago Cubs just finished a three-game sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals to keep their lead in the NL Central and drop their rivals to third place and 6 games back with just 13 to play.
It was a fantastic series for the Cubs overall who got good starting pitching and saw their lineup produce runs.
The sweep was the second at home for the Cubs against the Cardinals this season, capping off the series with an impressive win on Sunday. Chicago jumped out to a 3-0 lead before watching the Cardinals tie the game on a Dexter Fowler home run.
But it was something that happened to Anthony Rizzo late in the game on a pitch from Tyler Lyons that has two St. Louis beat writers a little upset.
Twitter user Desipio.com pointed out that both Derrick Goold and Benjamin Hochman ranted about Rizzo’s hit by pitch in the 7th inning of Sunday’s game. Yes, two beat writers ranted about a play that was reviewed, overturned and was the correct call.
Today's St. Louis paper has not one, but two whiny rants about Rizzo getting hit in the 7th.

You can read the stories by Hochman and Goold which sound like they are mad online.
The two teams still have a four-game series left in St. Louis this season, but the recent sweep may have ended the Cardinals chances in the NL Central.
