According to Marc Stein, Pau Gasol is going to wait for Carmelo Anthony to sign with a team before Gasol signs his next contract.
Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Anthony and Gasol have had discussions in recent days about playing together on the New York Knicks. Phil Jackson coached Gasol in Los Angeles and the Lakers won two titles with a Jackson/Gasol pairing.
If Anthony and Gasol are a package deal to play together next season, the Bulls would not only have to amnesty Carlos Boozer, they would also have to find a trade partner for Taj Gibson.
