Disappointed that the Hawks released tickets for sale at 10:05PM Sat night with no notice. Seems like this wouldn’t cater to true fans – but rather to brokers and ticket ‘bots’. Lots of great games immediately sold out and are on StubHub and with brokers for a noticeable markup. Sad start.
Many fans were given rain checks from cancelled games. Not many tickets were sold last night and today.
Surprised you don’t feel that after the lockout a public announcement and formal time for single game ticket sales should have been announced…
The Blackhawks and NHL as a whole are going to have to work to win back fans – making it more difficult and (and expensive) to attend games isn’t a step in the right direction, IMO.
In the league’s defense, there really isn’t much time to get tickets and the schedule out; considering the first puck drop is in a week. Stub Hub is a really good way to get into games once sold out. I rarely use ticketmaster.
