Are you going to a Chicago Cubs or White Sox game on Thursday night? If so, you will see history take place on both the North and South side.
The Cubs will host the Washington Nationals at Wrigley Field, while the White Sox host the Boston Red Sox at US Cellular Field. What do all four of those teams have in common?
They are all in first place.

The Cubs are atop the NL Central with a 20-6 record, which is also the best in baseball. Meanwhile the White Sox have been a big surprise as they sit atop the AL Central with a 19-9 record, good for first in the AL.
That’s pretty incredible if you think about it. Both teams have been playing for 100-plus years, same with the New York Mets and Yankees. There are two teams in Los Angeles, but only the Dodgers actually play in the city.
Let’s hope Chicago can go 2-0.
