Graham Barton, G/C/OT – Duke
Projected to go a little later than Van Pran and Powers-Johnson, Graham Barton from Duke is an intriguing prospect, that can play just about anywhere on the offensive line. Barton is another run-heavy o-lineman who moves defenders at will, and plays at a great pad level and with high intensity. His stock has improved as of late.
Duke QB Riley Leonard has said Barton is “the hardest worker on an off the field”, and has mentioned things about his fantastic leadership. Those intangibles are things this organization desperately needs in the locker room, and it’s clear when you watch them play week in and week out. It’s something they need to look for in the players they target during the 2024 NFL draft.
I can watch film on @DukeFOOTBALL OT Graham Barton all day long.
He has such a mean streak when it comes to run blocking and I'm here for it.#NFL #NFLDraft #DawgPound pic.twitter.com/xoVbf5QsAM

While he’s played mostly tackle, his transition to guard or center will be easier than if he was to stay at tackle. His small arms make it hard to add length at the tackle position, something that’s crucial in today’s NFL with the abundance of high-level pass rushers.
Barton is a mean lineman who plays with heart and that might be his best attribute. Hopefully the Bears do their due diligence when scouting this class of offensive lineman. Whoever the QB is in 2024 will need it to succeed.
